ABL Cyber Lab WorkForce Range  – Remote VPN 24/7

Since 2003, over 80% of all successful compromises are a result of the same vulnerabilities, year after year.  The experts conclude we aren’t learning the “basics” and aren’t making nearly the progress we need to. (Source – OWASP Top 10 2017)

The ABL Cyber Lab directly addresses the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities. By gaining the hands-on experience of offensive tactics, cyber security students are able to prepare and determine the most effective strategy for defense. Access to the Live Lab training is via Remote VPN Access.

Progressive and Practice-Based Learning Builds Hands-on Skills

DISCOVERY LEARNING – This is an experiential practice-based safe learning environment where both cohort groups and individuals engage with ABL Mentors for support when and where needed to ensure skills acquisition and application.
Users have access to Lab Mentors at weekly prescheduled days and times. (see bottom of page for days/time)

Exercises within the lab lessons build on prior knowledge, skills and abilities to apply to continually advancing level practices and experiences. The targets become progressively challenging, and students must use both current and previous tools and skills to complete the exercises.PCA-ABL-Cyber-Dive-2

Access remotely anytime over VPN into our internal  “off the web” server network, for developing ethical hacking skills…a controlled environment is a safer place to learn. This is NOT simulation learning; this is using cyber tools to experiment and creatively develop individualized security counter measures, offensive and defensive strategies.

Students access dozens of live vulnerable websites and applications to discover, scan, probe, detect vulnerabilities and practice attack tactics.

Through offense-based skills, using the Kali Linux arsenal of over 200 cyber security tools, Students will have the requisite competencies for identifying and creating effective methods for defense. The learning is all real-world cyber events where students learn, develop and apply newly acquired skills to defend against actual attacks.

Students progress at their own pace. Upon completion of all Beginner and Intermediate Lab lessons, students receive a Certificate of Completion.

The Lab provides hands on experience which is critical to supplement industry standard certification preparation training. A combination of Certification and live Lab experience ensures the student has the knowledge and practical skills to add value to his/her team by helping identify poorly designed code and vulnerable system configuration issues critical to protecting any organization.
